Wow. That’s it. ‘Finished’ my last Flatiron School project. I created an app that allows users to keep track of concerts they attended and the songs the band played. I see this an open source app where users can edit and collaborate on the concert setlists.
For my JQuery/Rails project I modified my pre-existing Rails app, BackPacker. This was my first experience modifying an already existing application which proved to be quite tricky, but also rewarding.
My Rails project, BackPacker, is an app that allows you to keep track of your camping trips and all of the items you are bringing with you on the trip. A user is able to create a trip, create items, and then also associate those created items with a trip, or create items on the fly when creating the trip.
I started my Sinatra final project at the end of September/Early October, hoping to be done within a week or two. Boy was I wrong…
After wrapping up the Ruby Data Gem CLI project, I was excited to begin learning something brand new with SQL, ActiveRecord, ORM’s etc - but for the most part the learning of that was pretty boring (but important)… With an understanding of its future value, I navigated that portion of the course as best I could, as I know it will creep back in later. (It always does)
